Ashley's Final Fling!
Last weekend we had Ashley's bachelorette party in KC at the KC Power and Light District. We had a blast, Ashley rode the bull, but I don't have pics of that. Krista did a great job planning it and Ashley went out with a bang like she had hoped. I am pretty sure she was in bed all of Sunday while we had to travel home, lol! Two weeks until the BIG day!

Back to Reality.........

Well, we have been back into school for a week now and we are all feeling it. The kids did well with going back to daycare full time for the most part. This week has gone better than last. Aubrey is already counting down the days to her birthday, lol (it is only 3 1/2 months away, lol) I think everyone is ready for cooler weather. Jace is so happy and cutting more teeth-he loves to be outside right now. Zach is wrapping up his crazy work days with the final holiday of the season this weekend. I , on the other hand wish my body could get used to being on the go all day long. I swear I am in bed by 9 and asleep! Let's just say God is challenging me this school year and I am always thankful for my job and try to remember that what I do does have an impact on society. Or at least I hope to think so. My days challenge and teach me patience as I teach all day to a variety of students with many exceptionalities and then come home to take care of my family.

On another note, Ashley just had her "final fling" as a single woman in KC this past weekend. We had a great time and Krista did an awesome job planning out festivities. I hope to post a few pics of it this weekend. Congrats Ash, and the countdown is on for the BIG day! Can't wait!!!!!

Summers End........

Jace absolutely adores his papa's! He loves riding the ranger with my dad and being outside in general like every boy. Aubrey has made huge gains with her swimming this summer. She is going off the board by herself and enjoying the water more than ever! Thank goodness for Grammy's nice warm and private pool!

Girls Day Out

Here is Aubrey at the Sternberg Museum. She had a girls day out with her aunt Kristin and I. We went to the museum, shopped, ate at Sonic (her choice, lol) and then went to the Aquatic Park.

So today I finished my last day of summer school. I really did enjoy working one on one with two students for the past six weeks and it also helped me get my room ready earlier than normal. I am not feeling as much pressure since I have been at school so much. I also have all my painting done I wanted to do in the house this summer. The kitchen/dining and bathroom all have a "new" look. Of course we continue to anticipate the time we are ready and find that permanent larger home, but this cozy and homey home will do for now. I am excited to spend the last few weeks pretty relaxed at home with the kids. We plan to take one more trip to the farm to swim and play at Grammy's. The Rooks County Fair begins next week so we will attend that at least one night to ride the rides. The summer went by too fast as always, but a routine and schedule always makes me happier, lol! This past week Zach's sister Kristin came to spend the day with Aubrey and I. We took her to Sternberg Museum and then to the Hays Aquatic Park to swim. No pics taken there because for some reason cameras are not allowed there so I will post what we took elsewhere. Have a great weekend!

The kids loved the rides so they are anticipating the Rooks County Fair here in Stockton in a few weeks! Jace loved the carousel. I think he rode it like five times!

Weekend Get Away!

We had a great four day get away last weekend. It started with the Clay county fair on Thursday night, then to KC to spend the night on Friday for a morning wedding on Saturday. Zach's cousin got married on Saturday and had a brunch afterwards, then we sent the kids home with G & G Kesler while we bummed in KC with Ashley and Chad. Us girls shopped and then we ate at the Japanese Steakhouse (my favorite) called STIX. Then we headed to Hiawatha to stay the night. We go to to see the grandparents and spend some time at the "log cabin" as I called Zach's parent's home. It is so pretty there and a very unique home. Aubrey is staying the whole week with grandma while the three of us headed home for a busy week. A full week of summer school and I am tackling the bathroom my last room to update in this house! I am steaming off the border and painting:) I really don't like to paint, but I have to get it done. I hope you enjoy the pics from the weekend!

Ashley's Shower Weekend

Well, Ashley had her first official bridal shower in Clay last weekend. I am in trouble from my sisters because I am just now blogging from the weekend with the new pics we took. Aubrey is now jumping off the side herself and jumping off the board with some help at mom and dad's pool. She has made huge gains since the beginning of the summer so I am excited about that. This week has been busy as I am preparing for school and continuing to teach summer school three mornings a week. Tomorrow we are headed to Clay to take the kids to the fair in Clay and then Friday we head to KC for a wedding on Zach's side on Saturday. We will be leaving Aubrey with Zach's folks next week to spend some quality time before August gets here. Hopefully I will get better at posting here shortly, lol!
